UNESCO creative cities

UNESCO Creative Cities Network was created in 2004 to promote cooperation with and among cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development.

The 246 cities that currently make up this network work together towards a common goal: to place creativity and cultural industries at the centre of their development plans at the local level and actively cooperate at the international level in the areas of gastronomy, crafts and folk arts, media arts, cinema, design, literature and music.
