Gastronomy Meets Art
Gastronomy as a tool for critical thinking
After 2016, Imaginarius assumes Gastronomy as an art, to provoke critical thinking and change mentalities, valuing creativity and the (re)creation of street food gastronomy.
Street Food Imaginarius contest aims to explore the food area within the Imaginarius festival, addressed to economic operators engaged in the activity of restaurants, beverages or commerce in mobile vehicles, legally authorized for this purpose.
Street Food is a space open to gastronomic creativity, which aims to provide visitors with a complete and differentiating experience at Imaginarius, with the integration of vehicles with an alternative food offer in the artistic and creative concepts of the festival.
In 2020, the Imaginarius Festival began a work of proximity between national and international artists and gastronomy (producers and chefs), originating in May 2021 the creation of a CSLAB#6 laboratory that links mental health with tasting and the senses
Imaginarius is part of the European Street Arts route, investing in training and international artistic exchanges, and develops partnerships with other festivals and creative projects.
In 2021, the program included gastronomy as an art and a tool for artistic intervention, interconnecting it with the performing arts, photography and videography.
